The Market Forum is the new name for Torquay Market,
built in 1852 to provide a place for the people of Torquay to buy
and sell their goods.
Since the freehold purchase in 2005
a substantial amount of money has been spent on removing the old
market stalls and replacing them with a number of shop units with
barrows in the middle for daily traders.
The Market Forum offers consumers the choice of a huge
variety of local businesses under one roof, not only for food and
fresh local produce but also a wide selection of other goods such
as clothes, furniture, toys and electrical goods. Full details
of the shops
on offer can be found on this website.
